The autobiography speech is used in several different ways; one is can be used as a form of introduction, or two it is the main point of the entire speech.
An autobiography details the history of a person and gives the audience an insight to their character by highlighting key points to that person's history.
It is usually a speech given when one must provide history such as an answer to the question 'why did you choose to do this'.
